Bio:
Electrifying forward-midfielder Shai Bolton has made his way to the Fremantle Dockers after a blockbuster trade from Richmond during the 2024 Trade Period. The dynamic playmaker arrives in Perth with an impressive résumé, having played 135 games for the Tigers, featuring in both the 2019 and 2020 premierships, and kicking 165 goals across his eight AFL seasons.
Shai’s ability to turn a game with his speed, evasiveness, and goal sense has earned him widespread recognition. In 2022, he took his game to another level, kicking a career-high 43 goals and earning his first All-Australian selection. He continued to be a key contributor for Richmond, finishing as the club’s leading goalkicker in 2024 and securing five consecutive top-five finishes in the Jack Dyer Medal (2020-2024), including a third-place finish in 2023.
A fan favourite and highlight-reel machine, Shai also claimed the AFL Mark of the Year in 2021 and was a Rising Star nominee in 2019. Now at Fremantle, the 25-year-old adds firepower to the Dockers’ forward line while bringing experience and a winning mentality to a developing squad.
