Indi Strom is an emerging talent in Australian rules football, recently drafted by the Fremantle Dockers in the 2024 AFLW Draft with pick number 51.
A competitive key defender, she adds height to the backline, standing tall at 182cm. Strom is strong in the contest and showcases impressive aerial ability and marking skills, making her a force to be reckoned with down back.
Hailing from Exmouth, Western Australia, Indi developed her football skills with the South Fremantle Football Club in the WAFLW. Her talent and dedication earned her a spot as a train-on player with Fremantle’s AFLW squad in 2024, where she further refined her game at the elite level. In addition to football, Indi is also a State League netballer, demonstrating her versatility and athleticism across multiple sports.
Indi joins her older sister, Mim Strom, at Fremantle. Mim, an accomplished ruck, has been with the club since 2020 and was named in the AFL Women's All-Australian Team in 2024, as well as Fremantle’s Fairest and Best winner. The Strom family’s football pedigree extends beyond the AFLW, with their brothers, Zach and Noah Strom, both enjoying successful careers with South Fremantle in the WAFL.
